We are fortunate to have the knowledge, support, and commitment from this group of dedicated individuals. They each devote an incredible amount of time and energy to the ranch and are heroes in equine rescue.
Board of Directors Executive Committee
A native of Wyoming, Richard retired from University of New Mexico in 2017 after 43 years on the faculty as Professor of Chemistry. He began volunteering at the ranch in 2012, became a board member in 2014, and served as board president from 2015 to 2019. Richard and his wife are proud owners of two geldings, one of which was adopted from Walkin N Circles Ranch.
Mary Ann Shinnick
A retired social worker, Mary Ann began volunteering for the ranch in 2012 and joined the board in 2016 as secretary, a position she held for three years. She’s also active on the horse health team. Mary Ann and her husband, also a ranch volunteer, have adopted two wonderful rescues from Walkin N Circles Ranch.
Raised in Nebraska, Dave trained horses to help pay for flight school. He flew for US Airways for more than 38 years, and then learned to fly helicopters and flew for various law enforcement and EMS agencies. He still serves as a Designated Pilot Examiner and trains in helicopters. Dave began volunteering for the ranch in 2016 working many hours on his John Deere. He became a board member in 2017.
