This gorgeous OTTB (registered name is The Results Are In) started two races in 2017, earning third place in one of the races. For some reason, he stopped racing and was eventually purchased by an owner of a jumping school who surrendered him to us after she realized he was not well suited for jumping at a high level.
Our trainers are starting at the beginning with Sweet Dan to teach basic ground skills before assessing him under saddle. He halters well and lifts his hooves easily, but he doesn’t seem to respect the round pen and was reactive to the carrot stick and lead rope.
His former owner suggests an intermediate to advanced rider would suit him best. While typically quiet, Sweet Dan can be frisky, skittish and barn sour at times and simply needs more consistent attention and training. If you have a job for Sweet Dan, and time to show him the ropes, he may be the perfect fit for you!
