This cute Appy mare does great with round pen work, standing for the farrier, and trailer loading and is quite confident around scary, noisy objects.
There is a chance she has Equine Metabolic System. She will be retested in May to confirm. Right now she does not need medication but needs to be on a grass only diet.
Stella does has juvenile osteoarthritis of the hocks. Our vet said that she will likely be okay for light riding only in the future, but that she should not be ridden for at least a year so that her growth plates have had time to fuse.
