Smokey is one of four donkeys who came to us as part of a large seizure by the New Mexico Livestock Board. He was a fairly healthy weight when he came to us, but his feet were overgrown.
Our trainers and volunteers have worked hard to help him overcome his shyness. He successfully had his feet trimmed, and he now leads with a halter really well. Sometimes he’ll set back to play tug of war, but he is easily correctable. Smokey is ready for a home to call his own.
