Ruby is a sweet and even-tempered female donkey who was found neglected with three other donkey friends in southwestern New Mexico. She was pregnant when she arrived at the rescue, and gave birth to Augustus (Gus) in May 2025.
Ruby will not be eligible for adoption until her foal is weaned - likely late in 2025 or early 2026. Until then we will take wonderful care of her and help her raise a healthy baby. She is learning to stand well for the farrier. She really loves ear scratches, leads well, and adores attention.
