Roy was found by the Livestock Board in central New Mexico with Rocco, another gelding, and they both went unclaimed. Upon arrival, Roy was healthy but unfit. He lacked muscle, especially on his top line, but a good diet and plenty of room to move has helped to rehab his muscles. His swayback prevents him from being ridden, but he cherishes attention and scratches. He will quietly move himself into position so you hit his favorite itchy spots on his back!
Roy is easy to catch, halter, and groom, and he stands well for the farrier. Roy’s demeanor and ability to get along with other horses would make him a wonderful companion to another equine.
