Grade Mare

Born: 2011

Arrival: February 2019

15 hands

Sweet Mimi was surrendered to the ranch in 2019 with her baby, Bambi, and Bambi’s dad, Hidalgo. She’s currently being trained under saddle and has proven to be a gentle, quick learner. She takes a bit (both snaffle and short shank) and saddle with no issues.

Most recently, Mimi has proven to be an excellent trail horse. She is very calm, has a good mind, and is more curious than reactive. She also seems a bit more lazy than other horses her age and likes slower gaits.

Mimi has also worked hard to hone her in-hand skills. She’s easy to halter, ground tie, lunge, and pick up her feet. She navigates the obstacle course with ease and confidence. And, as you can see here, she also calmly loads in and out of a trailer.

Mimi would be great for an intermediate rider and is close to become a reliable horse for beginners and children. She has tremendous potential and can be taken any direction.
