Grade Gelding
Born: 2009

13.3 hands
Petite but mighty Desperado was recently surrendered to the ranch by no fault of his own. He can be a little standoffish at times, but this overall mellow guy loves to ride out on the trail and is very willing to do what you ask. He is soft in the face and stops well.
When it comes to arena work or tasks that involve more direct mouth pressure with a bit, he become more tense. We suggest riding him with a hackamore when training in the arena; he does do better with a bit on the trail.
Desperado excels at groundwork and does well picking up his front hooves (needs work with his back hooves). He stands tied for as long as you need and trailers well. An intermediate rider is recommended for him.
