Curtis came to us as an owner surrender. He has a wheat allergy (confirmed by lab tests), so his future family will need to be mindful of this.
Curtis is an inquisitive gelding who is great with round pen skills, duress, standing for the farrier, and trailer loading. We suspect he has some degree of saddle training but our trainers have not yet fully assessed him under saddle. He has needed some in depth rehabilitation for his hooves which are still in progress with our farrier, but he is showing great improvement and this issue should resolve.
Curtis is named for the Curtis Formation, a reddish-blond sandstone layer in Utah. This geological feature appears in many prominent landmarks, including the top of Delicate Arch in Arches National Park.
