Gorgeous Angel is fairly new to the ranch but has demonstrated that she knows quite a bit! She leads well, knows round pen work, loads in trailer, stands well when tied and is good with the farrier.

She is also improving his skills under saddle and is being ridden in a western saddle with a snaffle bit. She understands direct pressure, is soft when giving his face right and left, stops/backs well, and is learning how to neck rein and follow leg pressure cues. She’s not yet been ridden on a trail, only in a round pen and arena. Because she’s still a bit green, she would benefit from lunging before riding to help take the edge off.

Angel has very long, extended stride, making her an excellent ranch horse prospect who would cover a lot of ground quickly. However, she will need help slowing her gaits down and moving more slowly when asked.

Though she is completely blind in the right eye, it hasn’t seemed to affect her daily activities! Her vision has not made her spooky or unsure of herself. Because she’s still learning, an intermediate or advanced rider would suit her best.
