  • feed and nutrition team leader

  • feet first team leader

  • horse health team co-leader

Ashley was born and raised in Oklahoma.  She came to Albuquerque, NM when she was 17 finishing high school at Manzano High School.  She always wanted to be part of the veterinary field, but went into human medicine first as a phlebotomist.  After working in human medicine for about 8 years, Ashley went back to school to get her Associates in Veterinary Medicine.  She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in February 2013.  She worked at VCA Referral and Specialty Hospital as an ICU technician, Lead Cardiology Technician, and ended her 3-year employment as a Specialty Surgery Technician.  Ashley then became the lead instructor at Brown Mackie College teaching new RVTs in New Mexico.

Ashley came back to volunteer at WNCR in May of 2016.  She fell in love with a handsome young mustang named Ace, which she has since adopted.  You will see them working the ranch on a daily basis.  With the support of her husband, Matthew Snider, and her two daughters Zandra and Alice, she was able to fulfill her dream of being in large animal medicine at Walkin N Circles Ranch.

Ashley brings a calm, confident, encouraging, and knowledgeable presence. She is deeply committed to helping the horses achieve superior health and find their forever homes.  Her dedication to the ranch and equine rescue is inspiring.  Please feel free to introduce yourself when you see her around the ranch.
