Kathleen came to the ranch about 5 years ago and was a member of the feed team for two years and co-lead on Resources for Horses for two years. She has since adopted two horses from the ranch, Slick and Ruby, and has fostered three horses: Hitch, Kasi, and Liberty. Her love of horses started with her first horse as a teen. “They are my passion and have learned the most about patience and unconditional love through having and working with WNCR horses,” she says.
Kathleen was also a volunteer EMT/Firefighter with the Edgewood Fire Department for 14 1/2 years and served the department as an officer for EMS several times. She was an elementary school teacher for the last 10 years in Moriarty and is now a technology teacher for K-8th grade at a charter school in Albuquerque. “But my love and passion is animals, especially horses,” says Kathleen.
